Aid in Case of Heart Attack

Every year, millions of people die because they do not seek immediate medical help during a heart attack occurs. Noteworthy is the heart attack is a medical emergency. In this situation, the time to keep pace with heart muscle damage due to loss of blood supply.

In a medical handbook issued by the Mayo Clinic stated that stress or strong squeeze of the chest are the main symptoms of a heart attack. Basically, there are two main treatment in patients with heart attacks. "The first is the provision of thrombolysis drugs to open clot and restore blood flow. If given less than three hours after the attack, then the result is very good," explained Dr. Munawar.

Handling second is to percutanous coronary intervension (PCI) or percutaneous coronary intervention for narrowing of blood vessels dilate. PCI is performed immediately after a heart attack is called a Primary PCI. "The success of this action reaches 95 percent when performed no more than 95 minutes from the time of a heart attack," adds Dr Munawar.

To get the proper medical help, one should pay attention is to bring patients to the hospital which has facilities for heart attack and heart doctors there idle.
