Indonesia occupies the 30th position in the order of the world's largest exporter of goods trade statistics according to a report of the World Trade Organization (WTO).
According to a report obtained by AFP WTO, Monday, stated that Indonesia's export value of goods was recorded at 120 billion U.S. dollars, or about one percent of world merchandise trade during 2009.
Compared with other ASEAN countries, Indonesia was ranked 4th in the under Singapore (14), Malaysia (21), and Thailand (25).
Singapore export goods worth 270 billion U.S. dollars, equivalent to 2.2 percent of world exports. While Malaysia exported goods worth 157 billion dollars (1.3 percent).
While Thailand is in the 25th position with export value of around 152 billion dollars or about 1.2 percent of total world exports.
WTO recorded total world exports of goods reached 12.461 billion U.S. dollars, while total world imports of goods reached 12.467 billion U.S. dollars.
China occupies the top position as the world's largest exporter country during 2009 with a value of 1.202 trillion U.S. dollars or include 9.6 percent of total world exports.
Second position as the countries of the world's largest exporters of goods was occupied by Germany with export value of 1.121 trillion U.S. dollars and the third is the United States with the export value of U.S. $ 1.059 trillion.
WTO estimates that the value of world trade in 2010 will grow 9.5 percent after experiencing the sharpest contraction since 70 years ago due to world economic crisis occurred.
WTO Director General Pascal Lamy said that every country must play a role in preventing the occurrence of protectionism that could threaten world economic recovery process.
"WTO rules and principles would help governments to maintain open trade and provide a foundation for growth as perdagangdan world economic recovery," he said.
